Anyone else playing this on PC? Pretty cool game and quite different from Modern Warfare 2, but in a good way.

I'd say it is more taxing on hardware than Crysis and on this laptop I have the detail turned down to low in order to get 40-50fps. MW2 is maxed out and gets about 45fps consistently.

Just playing multiplayer and just started today, so if anyone else is playing let's team up.

Really like the Bad Company 2, but on my new laptop after awhile it get's really hot and the video card starts to show artifacts, so running it while it's doing that is not good and it will probably fry the Nvidia 230m. It also makes the game really frustrating and annoying.

I switched over to my desktop and it runs fine at high settings, except this desktop has 2 drives. All my large media files, music, games, etc., are on the second D drive, which is also near the video card.

It could be totally unrelated, but the D drive failed after 2 days of Bad Company 2. It's a strange failure because the drive still shows up in disk management and on booting, but it's like the index got wiped out and the drive appears blank. Running a reformat on it now.

I would think if the desktop video card also got hot enough to cause heat problems there should also be video artifacts and other issues showing up and if it was also a heat issue I'd expect the drive to be dead and not appear at all.

Could be coincidence, but although Bad Company 2 is really fun it's been bad luck and that doesn't even count the actual Punk Buster errors and boot outs, the long time it takes to find servers that work, and other issues with the game itself.

I haven't been playing as much as I'd like. The new Borderlands DLC sucked me back in (god I love that game) and then Gamefly sent me Final Fantasy 13 on launch day. I was not going to buy it but since they sent it... Well if anyone cares about my thoughts on FF13 I'll sum it up quickly: Weakest FF game I've played in a long time, story is only average, I don't care about the characters and the battle system is pretty bad and way too simple/dumb.

Going to try to play more Bad Company 2, only thing I hate about that game is that it's 80% snipers every freaking game. Grrrrr, I refuse to play sniper cause of that.

I play engineer the most, then sniper, then assault. The engineer is actually the most OP'd in my opinion with the most fun kits.

Medic is cool too and it is funny they get light machine guns. My medic is the weakest by far and doesn't even have the health pack or the de-fib to bring players back to life.

Assault has some cool weapons, but I think I'm on the second gun upgrade and just got the ammo pack drop.

Sniper is a blast and I enjoy it. There are only so many sniper spots and it is funny pissing off people enough that they come get you and you manage to blow them away with a .45. The mortar strike unlock is really sweet too and I can't believe you get to call it in 4x per life. Also, I think my next unlock will be 12x optics, which will really make the sniper far more effective.

Engineer is my favorite. Keep vehicles repaired, anti personnel or anti vehicle explosives, and anti tank mines are great for taking out vehicles. The sub machine guns are also easy to use and accurate, esp with a 4x scope - prob far more accurate than they should be, just like the medics with the lmg's.

Really like this game. There is quite a bit of strategy, so many unlocks, and it is nice being able to switch classes to adjust to the other players, how the game is going, etc.

Heard of Borderlands, but don't have it. May have to check it out.
