Well, not really. I was thinking of subscribing again for 1 month to level up some of my characters during a drunken state two nights ago where I felt nostalgic and thought it would be worth the $15 to burn off some rest XP and solo around.

It took awhile to run through some major patches and then I found out you can't just log in like before. For whatever reason you have to tie your WoW account to a battlenet account in order to log in.

This didn't work. It said my WoW account name was invalid and my email didn't work either. Since I can't access my account at all now I had to call Blizz and couldn't get through on the English line and decided to try the Spanish line, where I was put on hold for 1 hour and when I was being transferred it the line dropped.

Decided to email instead and send them my old account name, email address and it took them 3 days to reply, stating they couldn't help and I should email billing.

I email billing today and am still waiting. I just wonder if my account was compromised. Never gave the account name/password to anyone.

Now I'm just curious to find out what is up with my account, but the desire to actually go into the game for 1 month to play has passed again.

Funny you mention this, I was just online looking at my account today, staring at the subscribe button and trying to figure out if I wanted to hit it or not :)

Part of me just wants to play a little now that I have a decent gaming rig and can boost everything to max.

And some of it's just seeing the old places again :)

But I'm just lazy enough to not want to sit through downloading the client again, heh heh. (I say as I just now remember, it's still installed from the last "free week" they did... hmmmm ;))

Yeah, after waiting one week I started to realize that going back to WoW is pointless. Don't have the time, desire, guild/player access to raid, so at best I could just pick a character and solo kill/quest to gain a few levels, but for what purpose?

May as well spend the $15 in ST:O and go for a even start in a new MMORPG.

Blizzard connected my old account with the battle.net account after about 2 weeks, so if I still had the account active that is $7 or so down the drain. Their support now seems to stink even worse than 2 years ago.

I did find out I got 7 days of credit time on my account, so I could go back and run around for a week for free, but what would be the point?

It's just too bad that WoW is still the best MMORPG I've played. They had the game released to enough success to where it was a profit generator and they could maintain, expand, and continue building while still releasing expansions every 2 years or so.

On a side note I found out I spent about $550 on WoW fees over the years, mostly on the $75 or so 6 month chunks at a time with about 6 or so 1 month to go back to check the xpacs out.

Well now I'm playing LotRO and WoW :)

Mainly just for old times sake, and I got 10 days free on WoW so what the heck.

Funny thing is, my main chars are still in a guild and when I popped back online (after 2+ years) everyone was like "O HAI!" heh heh
